Dear Blog,

No I have not been neglecting you. It’s just that I have been so busy that I have not been able to update you.

I want to thank all of my wonderful cleints for your continuing support of Ashley May Photography.

I’ve had a great time these past few months will all of my wonderful sessions.

Introducing, my newest peices of art:

I was very excited to meet “T” and “J” for their engagement session in Cambria. We had been looking forward to it for awhile and of course it had to be FREEZING on the day of the shoot. However, even though it was freezing we still survived the weather, and came out with some amazing images. “T” and “J” sure are one good looking couple!

I look forward to photographing their wedding in May. :)

This not so little girl anymore, is near and dear to my heart. This is my niece. Not only is she my niece, she is my first niece, and I became an aunt at just 6 years old. She is such a sweetheart, with a great personality. She will always hold a special place in my heart!

This senior guy is hardcore. He loves his guitar, and he loves being himself. He is a laid back dude with a good attitude. Best of all? He looks like Aaron Rodgers (Green Bay Packers quarterback).

Meet Revelation. A band of four musicians committed to God.

Why does Revelation do what they do? It’s a simple answer: It’s their calling. They want to make Christian music that isn’t boring so non-believers may stand a reasonable chance of hearing the Message before tuning it out and so believers will use it to expose their non-believing friends to God’s Word without a disclaimer about the package. God has called these committed and talented musicians together for a purpose–to bring His Word to others through their music.

Feel free to join Revelation Friday December 10 at 7:00 pm at the Vineyard in Beaver Dam to hear their praises to God.

I was blessed with the opportunity to photograph the wedding of two former school mates on August 21st. I felt such a honor to be part of their special day, especially since I have known J since he was a little boy. I found myself shedding a few tears throughout the day. L personalized their special day in every way. Congratulations L and J ! May your life together be as beautiful as your wedding day!

A few weeks ago I gave my time to photograph the Summit Women’s Conference held at Faith Bible Church in Waupun, WI. The founder, Mary Dahlke, believes in helping women embrace who they are, who they are becoming, and who they will be… Please check out her ministry at http://www.wix.com/summitwomen/home .

I just had to share this wedding invitation that one of my brides for this year created. She has such a great eye for color, and design! Best of all she used my image on her invite! Look for portraits from her wedding in just a few short weeks. :)

Here is a taste of the products I photographed while on location in Indiana this past week!

Project Me.

What is Project Me? Its a project I started on behalf of myself, and all adults out there who don’t set aside time for themselves to work on their personal projects, whether it’s photography, sewing, reading, or otherwise. Project Me is about putting aside two hours a week to devote time to —- “ME”

So welcome to Project Me.

Project Me will be featured once a week here on Ashley May Photography’s blog.
Are you interested in joining me or starting your own Project Me? Comment on the blog or email at ashley@ashleymayphotography.com so we can discuss it more.

Technically, I am a lot farther than week 7 on my Project Me, but in blog weeks here on Ashley May Photography’s blog I am only on week 7.

This week for Project Me, I was commissioned by a friend to photograph some landscapes, and nature for him to decorate the walls of his home with.

The look I was going for was a neutral look, that wasn’t neither to feminine or masculine. I feel that I accomplished the look quite well.

I love the beauty of the cattail’s, and the depth of the tree.
